About Kristin Hendrix

Kristin has been working with clay and slip for over 20 years ago when she bought a paint your own pottery studio without ever trying ceramics. It was a humbling experience that inspired a life long love of all things clay. Kristin has shared her love of the process from South Bend, Indiana to Jacksonville, Fl and for the last 6 years, Asheville. She has sold her wares around Asheville as well as being a part Foundation Studios in the River Arts District up until Helene when the gallery was destroyed and her work lost. Kristin now finds herself at Resurrection Studios Collective downtown.

She hand makes her own ceramic molds and has an extensive collection of antique ceramic molds that date back to the 1960’s. Her clay hand building focuses on textures treated with vibrant glazes. The results are unique, functional pieces that are anything but boring. She has been sharing her love of clay for two decades with classes, workshops, and programs with the goal of igniting the same passion she has for the medium in others. She will continue that journey at Resurrection with weekly events working with clay and glazing.
